The International Door Closer 753 has been replaced by the 853. The 753 was discontinued about 3 or 4 years ago, but the 853 has the same hole spacing, so it is an exact replacement. The hole spacing on the 753 is 3/4″ x 8-3/16″. The International Door Closer 853 features two adjustment valves for closing and latching speeds, and comes with a parallel arm bracket so you can mount the door closer on the push, pull or top jamb, also known as regular arm, parallel arm or top jamb mounting. This door closer is also an ideal replacement for the older style (before 1994) Norton 1603 and Yale 53 door closers. If you have any questions or need help, please contact our door closer experts.
