We are now stocking the Von Duprin Panic Exit Device Lever 050611 Shear Pin Kit.  This Shear Pin Kit is used on the Von Duprin Panic Exit Device 360, 992, 994, and 996 Lever Outside Trims.  The kit includes the Shear Pin and the Lever Retaining Ring. This is the piece that locks the Lever Trim in place and connects it to the operating shaft.  This pin is designed to break when a certain amount of force is applied to the lever.  I am not sure what the force is,  it is designed to break so the Lever Trim is not broken or bent.  The Von Duprin Device Lever Trim Shear Pin-050611 is 3/16″ diameter by 5/8″ overall length.   The pin fits on the shaft of the lever handle.  If you have any questions on this part or any other Panic Exit Device part, call or email and speak to our Exit Device Expert.
