Did you receive a new kick plate and the finish looks awful?  The problem probably is not with the kick plate or the finish, it is with the material they use to protect the finish.  All of our kick plates are shipped with a piece of plastic over the finished side.  The box is supposed to say, remove film after installation, but it is not always clear which side is finished and which is not.   What you need to do is use your finger nail on one of the corners and scratch the plastic back.  If it does not work on one side, then try the other.   This is a common problem we run into at least once a week.  If this does not correct the problem, please call us.
