We handle quite a few calls for casement window operator handles that will clear window treatments like Blinds, Mini Blinds, and Plantation Shutters.  The first thing we need to do is figure out which manufacturer you have for your casement window operator.   I am looking for names like Truth, Andersen, Peachtree, Pella or Wright.   If we know the manufacturer, then we know the size of your window operator spline.  Truth and Wright use an 11/32″ spline, Andersen uses a 3/8″ special spline, Pella uses a 3/8″ special spline, and Peachtree uses a 9/32″ spline.  In 99% of the applications the crank operator is either the Truth, Anderson or Pella.  Once we know the spline size we can make recommendations for the handle.  We offer T-Handles, Folding Handles, Flip and Folding handle and covers, and handle extensions.   The first handle is the “T” Handle, they are about 2″  wide and project out about 3/4″.   A folding handle is a handle that folds down when not in use.   If you have Truth Entrygard Operators, you can use there new Flip and Fold Handle, which is cover and handle combination unit that folds flat.   Another option if you have Plantation Shutters is to drill a hole in the shutter and use an extension.  Below I shoe the “T” Handle, Folding Handle, and Truth Entrygard Flip and Fold Handle and Cover.  We have examples of these on our website.
